Lunardi’s Grocery Store located in Belmont’s Carlmont Shopping Center is one of the few local grocers left in San Mateo County. I like to go there for meat (since they are a butcher shop) if I don’t want the quantity that Costco carries or if I want to make hamburgers. They grind their own Ground Chuck and it makes great burgers. Often times it’s even on sale for $2.99/lb.
The Belmont Hardware Store, located at 940 El Camino Real in Belmont is one of Belmont’s local businesses that has been providing Belmont “do it yourselfers” guidance for decades.
The Iron Gate Restaurant, located at 1360 El Camino Real, is one of Belmont’s best restaurants. All of their food is great. I particularly love their signature potatoes.
Pilgrim Kitchen, our local bakery in Belmont, has excellent donuts, pies and pastries. My personal favorite, the Cinnamon Butterfly is big enough for two to share, though you may not want to after you’ve tried it. Stop by here and see for yourself. Ordering pies for the Holidays?
